Tire Size Specifications:

• 145/70-6:  The 145 is in millimeters which is 5.7 inches.  70- this number refers to the Aspect Ratio- a number used to describe the section height- from edge of rim to top of tread, and is a PERCENTILE of the Section Width. To get a number out of it- 70% of 145 is 101.5mm, figured like this- 145x0.7=101.5.  Now, 101.5/25.4= 4". So- the height of the tire from rim edge to tread top is 4 inches.  The last number 6 is the rim diameter in inches, which is 6 inches.
